Alright guys, I'm having problems with my s14.

For about a month now my window has been behaving weird. If I have my window rolled down and then try to roll it up, the window won't go up immediately. Usually I have to push the switch up, then down, and then up again to get the window to roll up.

Then yesterday the window would struggle to roll up. You can hear the motor running, the window just won't smoothly roll up. I'm thinking the motor is bad/ going bad.

Any thoughts?

Also, I took the doorpanel off to see if I could get at the motor but it was behind the inner door skin thing. Does that skin unbolt off?

anybody?

Also, my fsm doesn't have an exploded view of the door, or really anything for that matter. Anyone have one?

Sounds like a bad motor.

That's what I figured. What do you think is the best way to get it out?

Ok, I have yet to fix my window and now the problem has gotten worse so I'm gonna revive this thread from the grave.

My window now won't go up unless I pull up on the window while pressing the button up. When you just press the button by itself you can hear the motor working as well as a rubber slipping sound (kinda like a screeching). The window stills goes down as normal.

Do you guys think it is a bad motor or something else?

Thanks. I'll start lookin for a good deal on them. Those motors are expensive.

I am actually having the same problem right now with my maxima what happened to mine was there is a rubber piece inside the motor that moves in mine completely tore in two pieces and the cover came off. you should only have to replace the motor. Check at auto part stores i found one at Oreilly for about $120 for my car vs. 200+ at the dealership.

Oh and to get it out on mine there is a grey bar with 4 bolts that hold it to the inner skin unbolt that and the motor and regulator and it should come out easy. if this isnt like yours then just disregard this last part.

The only thing is the rubber piece is inside the motor ive tried to get it out but it wouldnt come out. i would just replace the whole motor itself.
