Cruising on the free way at 3000 rpm my air fuel gauge is registering 16.8, Ive heard thats lean is it terrible? its a ka24det with pretty built internals according to the guy I bought it from. If so what would be my first step towards fixing it? any and all help appreciated.

When i hit the gas it drops to 13.7. And really 12 views but nothing? Its my first turbocharged car if you couldnt tell and im just trying to make sure everything is running right. It has turbo lag or turbo stutter at lower rpm all the way up to 3000 if you punch it, if you just roll on throttle it seems fine. Would pictures help, again any and all pointers would be appreciated. just a nudge in the right direction anything.

Seems lean. Do you know what map pressure you're at at that point? If you're riding the gear down (not on the gas), then that's fine.

No idea. But 16.8 is when im going the same speed, it might flutter a little. Under some acceleration (not wot) its 13.7 I have a jim wolf ecu. So basically my aem wideband is malfunctioning right? Because my motor wouldnt run that lean. Or if its correct it would be my fuel system right? Probably fuel pump or injectors are dirty or fuel filter. My vacuum pressure getts to ten and im going to look for boost leaks tomorrow. I just bought the car and im wondering should i take it to a tuner or try and see if the air fuel ratio problem is because of the car. So any input on whether you guys think its a tune or motor problem would be apprectiated

You can run 16-17:1 on the highway, although usually you notice it.
I doubt its a fuel pump or filter. Those would s*** out under WOT when they can't supply enough fuel, not during normal cruising.
Look for vacuum leaks, and take a look at the wideband. They don't last forever. Maybe it just needs to be replaced.

I have no idea. I know you can recalibrate Innovate widebands. It should be in your manual.

I just noticed this thread. Need to put my 2 cents in.
On a KA-T motor at cruise you are more than likely still into boost. As a rule we dont want to see anything below 14.7, I try for around 14 flat. On decel or fuel cutoff its fine to see 17 or so. Lean is mean under boost, at any level. Any change in fuel delivery or boost levels can drastically change your air/fuel ratio in a bad way.

I would talk to a tuner. I use Nistune here, and do my own. If you get it right, that KA-T is a lot of fun on the street. And with the setup we have, I can go from 8PSI to 18PSI in a half hour, but that tends to break things.

I gotta update my build thread.......
