You could have the O2 sensor safley seated and buckled in next to you in the car and it will start all day long. Albeit there would be a hell of an exhuast leak from the whole the O2 sensor once filled.
To check fuel pressure you need to be looking at a fuel gauge making sure that it is at the proper pressure for atomization and enough volume for detination. The spark you seeing "light up real good" should be blue in color not orange indicating a weak spark. What is your compression? how many psi are you seeing on your compression tester?
