I need to replace the Rack and Pinion unit on my 1994 Q45 but I'm having trouble finding out whether or not I need to buy the unit with or without the Electric Variable Orifice (EVO)? The unit with the EVO is a approximately $100 more than the one without it. I also found this part number 4900167-u00 but I still don't know which one it is. any insight on this would be greatly appreciated!

:welcome: to NICO!

Are you purchasing from a dealership? If so, they should be able to identify the correct one by your VIN. If not, maybe a dealership would provide the part number to help you cross reference it to whatever aftermarket unit you're buying.

www.orderinfinitiparts.com as well as some of our other sponsor sites should be able to help.

My guess is that aftermarket ones may come with or without the control solenoid - which would require you to move the one from your old unit to the new one. If that's the case - and yours is functioning ok and just leaking, I would move it.

Good luck!

Heath
