1994 Q45. My Cruise control will not engage

Gteetings to the Forum:I have had this issue since day one when I got the car. Just thought I was not doing it right until I read the instructions. The cruise main is on but when I try to set the cruise on the steering wheel controls nothing happens. Could this be a blown fuse or relay? My neighborhod is cop infested so the ability to set cruise is crucial. Where can I start to resolve this problem.

Tech's suggestion is the preferred method but may take a while. A simple ckeck to rule out a blown relay is in the engine compartment fuse box to swap the AC relay with the cruise control (CC) relay (I believe their both blue and if so are the same relay). If your CC starts working and your AC quits you've found the problem. If this doesn't work follow the diagnostic procedure in the FSM. Good Luck.

first thing i would try is to unplug the battery and plug it back in.
