1994 Q45 memory seats problem

1994 Infiniti Q45 memory driver seat.The two memory seat setting (#1 & #2) keep flashing. When I take the key out of the ignition, the seat don’t move back like it did before. I do have a check engine light on. When I checked the code it came up 55 (OK). How do I reset this problem? I really like the way the seats go back.... any clues?

I had to disconnect and reconnect the battery cable first, the I followed the instructions from the link:

Here's the procedure:

1. Open the drivers door2. Turn the key to the Run (ACC) position (all the lights on, but car not running).3. Turn the key all the way back off, but don't remove the key4. Close the door5. Wait about 1 minute6. Open the door, the memory function should work now.
