1994 Q45 KEY WILL NOT COME OUT OF DRVERS DOOR LOCK

Hi my name is Victor and I just bought a 94 Q45 and the key will not come out of the drivers side door lock. I unpluged the battery and cheked the fuses but it was no good. I thing that the security fuse next to the battery is misssing. Please Help.

Master Key? I think you might have a mechanical problem with that lock.

Does the other master key or any other work in the driver's side door? Do you not have remote fobs?

Is the key stuck in the door as I'm reading this now?

My driver's side lock holds on to my key too. Not much, but a slight "snag" can be felt during withdrawal. It's not bad when it's cold, but at moderate temps, it's more noticeable.

I'll try that. I may have to visit a locksmith to see about getting either my locks rekeyed. I have two keys. (One for the door, one for the ignition. The valet key only opens the doors.)

I only have that one key and no keyless entry. The key moves locks and unlocks the doors but just wont come out. I tried W40 but it didnt work.

Did you try tapping on the key gently (inward) with a rubber mallet?

WD40 is to be avoided at all cost as it is hygroscopic.

Scour eBay for a remote. 5 keys came with teh G50. 2 remotes n the latter.

My 94 q45 key got stuck in the ignition lock. Everything worked fine except the key simply would NOT COME OUT. I tried every possible wiggle, shake, tap, bang, pull, and dismantled half of the dash and steering column. The dealer wanted to send to CA for a new lock cylinder, about $600 installed. I just use a Club on the wheel and lock/unlock the door with another key.Sigh.

Did u say there is only 5 different keys for all the G50s? so i would have good luck gettin a spare key for my car somehow?

A professional locksmith could probably disassemble it for under $200.

I think you get 5 keys. That's what Keith told me. When I asked about my lock situation, he said that the Infiniti lock replacement package is like $5-600, plus the labor involved to replace the door locks, trunk lock, glove box, and ignition. The reason for the expense in Q keys is that they are titanium and difficult to cut.
