I'll try that. I may have to visit a locksmith to see about getting either my locks rekeyed. I have two keys. (One for the door, one for the ignition. The valet key only opens the doors.)qship96 wrote:Try a few puffs of powdered graphite dust in the locks, available at hardware store or any locksmiths shop-
WD40 is to be avoided at all cost as it is hygroscopic.VictorJ. wrote: I tried W40 but it didnt work.
A professional locksmith could probably disassemble it for under $200.yogirob3rt wrote:My 94 q45 key got stuck in the ignition lock. Everything worked fine except the key simply would NOT COME OUT. I tried every possible wiggle, shake, tap, bang, pull, and dismantled half of the dash and steering column. The dealer wanted to send to CA for a new lock cylinder, about $600 installed. I just use a Club on the wheel and lock/unlock the door with another key.Sigh.
I think you get 5 keys. That's what Keith told me. When I asked about my lock situation, he said that the Infiniti lock replacement package is like $5-600, plus the labor involved to replace the door locks, trunk lock, glove box, and ignition. The reason for the expense in Q keys is that they are titanium and difficult to cut.carfrk666 wrote:Did u say there is only 5 different keys for all the G50s? so i would have good luck gettin a spare key for my car somehow?
