1994 Q45 Heater Air Mix Door Repair

My heater stopped working and I took the radio and heater control out. The control to the air mix door was hanging by the spring. I removed the broken plastic piece and am ready to put a new one in.

Does anyone know where I can buy this piece?

Does it come attached to the Heater Mix Door?

If so, any idea where I can get one of those (other than the dealer)?

I will take it to a machinist and have one made if necessary, but I sure would like to find an original part.

Your profile says you have a 1990, but we're talking about a '94, right? If you're looking for an OEM replacement - http://www.everythinginfiniti.com is my favorite source. Not sure if it comes individually. Having one machined out of metal would be nice...
