My 1994 Q45 is experiencing an odd assortment of electrical problems. Can anyone think how they may be connected ?First the courtesy lights in the driver's and passenger's door refused to turn off, so I pulled the bulbs out to avoid draining my battery. Then I noticed the same issue with the overhead light on the roof, which I then left in the "off" position.Next I found that the instrument lighting had failed. Also, the headlights are stuck on hi-beam when turned on - the switch to move from Hi to Low is not working. If anyone can think of a connection, it would be greatly appreciated.

Are your outside tail lights and side markers not working also? For starters, you might check the illumination fuse in the engine compartment fuse box. Check it with a volt meter. Don't trust your eyes as the break in the fuse may be very small.

As for the courtesy lamps, the switches in the door jamb may be suspect. As I recall they ground by tightening and contacting the door jam. Take a look at each of these to see if one of them has a problem. Good luck.
