I bought a 1994 Q45 about 18 months ago. I've been experiencing rough idle and reduced power recently but don't know what is wrong. I took the car to the dealership and they can't get the correct codes from the diagnostic test because my car has the wrong ecu in it. The dealer pulled up records for my car and found that the previous owner declined to get the ecu fixed and replaced it himself with an ecu with traction control. My car doesn't have traction control or active suspension. The part i need is 2371M - 63U02RE. I'm looking for a used ECU. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Slug2k,

Welcome to the Club!

Try this link in our Buy/Sell/Trade forum:http://www.nissaninfiniticlub....23905

He is selling his ECU for his 1990. This should work for your 1994 model as well.

email this guy. He has a couple of 1994 parts cars, and may have the ECu, you need.

Ask for Jack

I have not talked to him in about a year, so it may be a dead end.

aaacomp - You and I talked last year about a reworked ECU for a 95Q45t (49-state).

At the time I couldn't part with mine for as long as you'd need it... Any change?

The one I'm referring to is an oem in the post. and no I haven't done anything about a 95 since they have a flash eprom in them.. I really need a donor to hook up the tag to ( may mess it up). Thanks for the email on the shipper tho...

Need alittle more help to find your ECU .. The number that was given is a part number from Nissan,, what you want and need is the number off of the ECU then you can match it to the ones on EBay or dismantlers and not pay $800 or $900 for it...You will have to do this call a parts manager up and "FIND" one in stock somewhere and look at it or get someone to read the numbers off of the front panel to you .....After that you'll have one in no time...

1994 Q standard ecu no options 49 state is: 23710-68U00 or A18-B16P78 per Jan-Dec 1994 complilation of TSB printed in 1995.

The Mod /REmanned number you posted earlier could be a modified or up dated version.

Thanks! The number on the box will be A18-xxxxx.Look at the number you have now, but the A18-b16p76 should work. Most will interchange even the std and active there is just no programming for the std if put in and Active. For example .. When I converted the last two Q45's to standard I was able to use that years model STD plus FED or CA with a modifled eprom and they all run great. Problem if you use and out of year your eng light will go on (meaning it's the wrong hardware code) . It won't hurt anything but the light is annoying.
