My wife decided to clean her newly purchased Q45 to her own expectations. In doing so, she decended the seat back all the way back and now it refuses to move at all. All of the rest of the seat controls operate properly, but when you hit the button to put the seat back in the upright position all you hear is a click from the control box under the seat , but nothing happens!

Sounds like you need to learn how to drive low and laid back. Just kidding...

Sometimes, my seat back will stop operating. I have checked out everything, and have determined it is a bad connection or wire in the door panel where it connects to the LAN module. If I disconnect the battery for a second or two, the controllers reset and it works for a while. I eventually have to remove the door panel, and disconnect the LAN module. I have not found the wire or connection yet. It is an intermittent failure.

Maybe this will help. If not, then you might have a bad motor or connection to the seat. check all the wiring under the seat. Maybe the cleaning pulled a wire loose.

You could also instigate the LAN test procedure, to see if all the modules are working properly. The procedure is described fully in the field service manual. If you don't have one, shoot me an email, and I can send you a CD with it on it along with the technical service bulletins on your car.

Now, how did you get your wife to clean your car? I can't get mine to clean up her own car, much less mine.

By the way, welcome to NICO!
