1994 Q45 95K miles-Intermittent Bucking

Hello fellow 1994-1996 Q45 Owners. I am new to this forum. Has enyone experienced the engime running intermttently going On and-Off very suddenly. The the engine when hot acting in a "bucking " fashion under 50MPH . I Took it to the dealer. They say pay for 2 new knock sensors and a new MAF sensor all for only $1950, but no guarantee the diagnosis is accurate. They tell me the injectors and spark plugs are fine. Thay also state that an injector may be going bad, but has not totally failed. Thay say to drive the car until injector fails then bring in for another $150 diagnosis. CarTuned at 65K and No computer codes are found. Had my mechanic clean the MAF,rather than replace it. That seemed to help, for a couple of days. Car does still shut on-off and stll stalls at idle, but only when engine is hot. Runs great at over 70mph and when at hot operating temperatures at higher speeds. Any thoughts would sincerely be appreciated. David

Probably a bad MAF connector or bad MAF. Get a used 90-94 MAF from a junkyard and see what happens before you blow a pile of money.

Apply dielectric grease to the MAF connector.

Minus the bucking, that's exactly what my '93 Q did when the MAF was failing. If putting dielectric grease on the connectors helps for a bit, that will confirm it's the MAF.
