In case anyone is interested, there is a 1994 Q45 that just got put out at the Pull-A-Part in Phoenix, AZ.

This is the first 1st gen I've seen anywhere in their system for several years.

That’s funny, I was just about to make a rant about 2000 Q45 anniversary edition touring at a salvage yard in one state. Absolutely pristine front leather seats. Same color as mine. I had checked out the car a couple times and got some parts, but didn’t think I needed to buy another set of seats being I already did a few years ago. But then I noticed my driver seat could use a replacement because it’s started to crack and peel in certain areas.

I planned to make the trip back a few hours away in my other vehicle to get them (I know it sounds crazy but many times when you want the right parts, travel is required). Lo and behold, I been checking everyday and it appears to have been removed off the “list” today.

I’m so bummed. Like I planned a whole trip to go do this and without warning, the car is just gone. I tried to call the 1800 number to have them “hold it” but it’s just a general line for national calls and kept getting busy signal. No way to reach the part yard itself. I may never find seats in that great of condition again. I just didn’t have the space since I was traveling for other purposes.

Oh well, I may just invest in custom seat covers instead. I stopped going to junkyards for much anymore but for interior parts and discontinued, I have no choice. I just wish they would put a date on how long they plan to keep each vehicle, this has been atleast the 2nd time a very well kept Q45 has been sent off with great parts. Almost have to just get what you can before they disappear from the lot lol.

Update; just seen another 2000 Q in another city. However the seats were “good” but the leather feels hard and dry and the airbag design I hadn’t realized is different. Seems built into the seat versus the plastic cover normally there. No biggie but, idk.

I been seeing them pop up in salvage yards lately but many are in so bad of shape once they get to the salvage yard, that there’s hardly anything I really can take off them.

And FFS, I hate how people throw s*** on the seats. If the leather gets cut or leaves indentions, it ruins a good seat. And it’s not something that can be sourced elsewhere.

That said: the 90s Infinitis seem to endure so much abuse in the salvage yards lol. I seen an i30 today in pretty good shape but it’s a different interior color than mine so wasn’t anything I could do with it

A 99 just popped up in Tuscon if that helps. My alerts are for every Q at a pull-a-part in the country. Like I'd actually fly somewhere for a power window regulator - but it's kind of fun to keep up with.
