1994 nissan sentra Auto trans problem

The transmission doesnt slip at all. I pulled a U-turn near my house and the car came out of gear when i try to put it in gear all it does is grind. When the car is turned off i try to put it in gear but nothing i have to use to e-brake so it wont roll down the hill. Please help.
