well yes they are supposed to be airodynamic and to channel water.. the y33 has it and guess what it still does dump water on you on occasion when you open your door. haha

What's different about the clock? I like the chrome covers for the outside mirrors and mudflaps. Looks as high-end as anything Mercedes or Beemer at half the price.

My clock that originally came with the Q hasn't worked since the day I got it. It seems to have a mind of it's own. I can set it to the proper time and not pay attention to it. I can come back a couple hours later and the time is different from what I had set it to.

I bought a clock from Mike, but I haven't installed it yet. Not too sure on how. I guess I'll do it when it's warmer since I have to take apart the dash console. While I'm at it, I'll redo my wood kit.

Wow a coicidence that you guys posted clocks on here. I just replaced my gold clock with a black one from a 92. Honestly it isn't at all what I was looking for, but I'll keep it on there until I decide to put the gold one back on. I like the President clock... black background with gold trim. Wish I could come up on that one somehow.

Thanks for the link. I know how to remove those parts already. I had to do my HVAC. I also applied my wood kit while the parts were out.

It's that top piece where the clock and two vents are located that I've never removed. I gave it a tug way back when, and it didn't give, so I left it alone. That's the part that's sort of stumping me.

Here are Heath's tips:

The biggest trick for removing the dash bezel is removing those two large bolts that hold the steering column up. It'll allow it to drop a couple of inches so you don't snag it on the ignition switch.

I think you do need to remove the steering column surround... easy though, phillips head screws accessable from the bottom. Remove the part on top of the ignition switch (you'll know it when you see it) held in place by one screw to prevent ripping the cluster surround near the ignition switch.

Yeah, but first you have to remove that little white plastic thingy sitting on top of the ignition which has a small metal arm sticking up. I think it contains a solenoid. You can't clear that without bending the plastic so much as to break it and you'll still cut up the cluster's dash surround's vinyl on the arm. That's unless you drop the steering column in which case, I'm still not sure you can clear it easily. Jesda, I honestly can't see this being done in 30 mins much less 20 mins. You have to basically pull up everything for that damn clock and I've done it a few times.
