hi i was wibdering if anyone could help me out with this. my speedometer doesnt seem to work cold and the only times its judges speed correctly is when its hot out or the truck has been running for a while (like an hour). the odometer doesnt work when the speedo is malfunctioning either. was wondering if anyone knew what this was or how to fix it. not exactly mechanically inclined but willing to try a few things out

thanks,

Jean

I have seen the speedo itself fail on these trucks. Does it come back to life if you pound on the dash board a little?

That happened to me once, I could hit the dash to make it come back a few times, like Rev suggests..
But I just got a new cluster from a wrecker, all swishes

Hey sorry for no reply but no not really but when I hit the dash it moves then up and they just go back down. Is it hard to put in a new cluster ? What's the average cost
