1994 NISSAN 300ZX NON TURBO STALLS

My son has a 94 300zx that stalls when driving down the road. I think it might be an electrical problem. He pulls over to the side and it starts right back up. I have had not indications that the charging system is failing so are there any ideas on where to start looking for this issue? Thanks. BTW this is first car and first opportunity to learn his mechanic skills...He has had the car for about 5-mths now.
