My 1994 Max just won't start. I let someone use my Max for they had no transportation it was missing when they got it . They had somebody work on it and it hasn't really started sence. I've gotten it back crank it it started real rough at a low RPM and black smoke for about two minutes and quit. I got it home replaced the timingbelt, two injectors, coil, distributor, wires and plugs. It still won't start. I pulled the plugs they were soaked with gas. No spark right? I use OHM meter to check coil, it checks ok checked power transistor could not get a reading. Went to junkyard checked about twenty power transistors and niether one gave a reading. Can someone help?

Is there any CEL? Did you check to see if the car is at top dead center on the #1 piston and the distributor is on the #1 also. you may be 180 out and that may be why your car is not starting.

Have you watched the plugs to see if they are indeed actually sparking? Hold one next to the intake manifold for a ground while the engine is cranking. You should see it spark. Be careful not to get shocked--it hurts.
