1994 maxima auto theft will not respond,cannot start car

1994 maxima washed car yesterday, now security/alarm does not work properly.I cannot start car, and cannot turn off the system with remote. Is there anything I can do ? Can I disable the auto theft? Is a nissan dealer the only option to repair this, or can my local mechanic fix this problem? thanks....
