I've recently purchased a 1994 J30t. The owner gave me only the keys and not the remote. I've recently purchased a remote on e-bay and tried to program it, but it failed. I purchased a keyless remote for a 1996 j30 remote with PART # 700 K1359 .ID # A269ZUA078. I was wondering if this is the correct remote since I've tried numerous tries already and failed to program the remote. Just to make sure I even bought new batteries for it. I know that some cars have sensor on/close to the radio panel. When I purchased the car the Bose system does not work and a regular Pioneer CD player took its place. My question is whether the Bose stereo have anything to do with it. Also, what are some checks that I need to do to make sure that I'm not missing a part or something. Thanks!

Do a site search for the J30 remote. I'm fairly certain that there is some good info here. Also, try posting on the "Audio" forum about your stereo. You're sure to get some useful responses. And remember, it's "Infiniti". Welcome to the club.

Here is what a brand new J30 factory remote says on the back of it:FCC ID: A269ZUA0773DOC/MDC 700K922If your FCC ID matches you should be fine (as long as it's made by Infiniti), looks like you might be in trouble getting that one to work. Even at 25% off mine is $113.78 (new), they are very proud of these things...

You have the wrong FCC ID... You need the xxxx...073, you have the 078... The 078 works on later infinitis, but not so much the early ones.... I think the late 94s and up could use BOTH ones.....

The radio has absolutely nothing to do with the remote control and programming.

How much did you buy it for??? I would try selling it here (put something in your sig line), as the late 94-96 Q and J owners would really apprecaite it!!!

When I brought my Q, there was no remote control that came with it. I purchased a remote through keylessride.com for $68 + shipping. The remote was brand new and it came with the instruction to program it. It took me less than 3 min to program it. I was very happy with that purchase until I saw a used one on ebay that sold for $6 ;)
