Item #2409599640........@ $41.00 with two days to go.

It looks like the real thing, if it was for a 95' Q I would be biding on it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you have a '95 Q YOU should bid on it... 99% the same, I'm sure.

I am not sure there is <any>. difference between the 94 and the 95 manuals.

And if there was it would be something completly minor and irrelevant as thse are essentially identical cars (color options, and minor trim differences if that).

So go ahead and bid on it, it'll work just fine .

Fred...:)

I've been wanting to get one but I thought it better to do important maintanence things first.

OK, Hitman I won't run up the price on E-bay....copies would be great. I can get them done here at work for free. But the best thing would be if one of you NICO moderators had a scanner? Than we could store it on the site, as a tool for everyone to use.....unless that's breaking copyright laws....?

I'm thinking I'd like to try that... Some will disagree, but that's OK.

BayQ/Slaughter if you wanna pay more, go ahead - I won't be upset, I was teasing.

If I do win it, my offer stands. I may scan the whole damn thing if I do get it.

Admitting intellectual property thief [a felony] on the WEB is not a prudent thing. 5 years from now when the GOV search softwear spits out you name for incarceration.

Hate to disagree, Dennis, but my employment with the Supreme Court offers me a few minor advantages here.

17 USC Section 506(a):Determination of criminal infringement of copyright relies upon the following - Must be "for purposes of commercial advantage or private financial gain" OR must be "by reproduction/distribution (incl. by electronic means) during any 180-day period, of 1 or more copies of a copyrighted work which has a total retail value of more than $1,000."

Scanning the service manual and sharing a few pages here and there does not meet EITHER of the criteria for criminal infringement of a copyright. Therefore, my offer stands.

Hi, AZHitman.

I saw this at eBay and was about to bid on it but thought the name looked familiar! :)

I decided to check here first - glad I did! If you are willing to do all the scanning, that sounds like a good deal!

True a few pages is one thing vs offering the entire work. However as a moderator you cannot post them without incurring the "commercial advantage" for the site.

However publishing a few pages which leads [could lead]6,000 members to avoid buying a work to get technical information unavailable else where, may be construed to violate the provision.

Since the work is $150 per manual gotta be careful not to publish more than 7 different pages in the 180 day period.

What is the lost value per page if one page lets one avoid paying some one $1,000?

The jury will decide IF you get someone angry at you.

Since the car is obsolete [by government definition over 7 years old ] this might be protective plus the copy right holder is Nissan, Japan and they won't sue you.

Just not ethical to steal others work without paying is a good rule.

SZ - If you want to bid, please by all means DO! I will NOT be offended, butt-hurt, upset, irked, ticked-off, P.O.'ed, angry or even mildly irritated.... UNLESS I get outbid by a non-NICO member.

Thanks, AZ! I also just remembered (found the printed receipt) that I had a 1995 Q manual ordered from the books4cars.com site! So I had better not bid on this one from eBay - would not want to end up with two! :)

Well, it looks like I'm NOT gonna be the high bidder on this one. 7 hours left, but it's gotten too rich for my blood. I'll wait 'til Quella's out of warranty to drop more than $75 on the manual.

Have at it, guys!!!!:D

Okay, I went bidding, up to 102, but more than that does not make sense to me for the small manual. Oh, well.

The one on eBay is the BIG manual - Contains everything. The "small" manual does not contain wiring diagrams and other valuable info (lots of important procedures left out).

Here's a small 1991 manual starting at $10....

Any manual is more helpful than no manual.

Both small and large manuals are simply a resource for technicians who already know what they're doing.... they won't make the average person a backyard mechanic.

I have a service manual for my '92 and have learned to change the coolant, but otherwise most of it baffles me. The diagrams are cool!!

I especially like the cartoon transmission which smiles, sleeps, and gets sweaty.

I used to think that too, but it is VERY useful. I did have to read it OVER and OVER and OVER and OVER. Nearly every section has been critically important at one time or another. Gradually, it makes more and more sense. As far as any differences, I think they're identical in content.BTW, my latest "discovery" is a section in the back that tells you how to measure various sensors straight from the ECU and the values you should be getting for each under different conditions. Much of the same info the Consult gives, but clumsier and without the ability to control any of it.
