I am going to exchange my drivers side, front door. When I do, will my remote control work on all doors? After I exchange doors(I dont have the key for the replacement door), can I take the stock door lock and place it in the replacement door(this door is from a 1994 Q45), and expect it to work properly?

When you press the button on your remote fob it sends a signal to the rear deck mounted remote controller, which sends a signal to the BCM (body control module) which sends a signal to the door lock actuator which activates and unlocks the front door. The door lock actuator doesn't care which tumbler is in the door opener and will actuate regardless if the front door key matches the other locks or not.

Likewise for opening the drivers door with a key. The car doesn't care which tumbler is installed as long as it turns when a key is inserted.

Short answer...everything will work as long as you get a door from a 94-96. The early Q didn't have a power window amp and had different seat controls so the incoming wiring will be different.
