Hello all. I am new to the forum. I have a 1994 Hardbody (3.0L V6, Automatic, 4WD) that is leaking oil on the front right hub. It looks like it is leaking from the outer part of the hub near the hub cap. I haven't replaced any seals in the hubs since i bought it a year ago. It has 322,500 miles on it. I have 2 questions; will it be ok to drive it in 2H until i get it fixed (I have read the Haynes and it doesn't appear to affect the bearing lubrication)? And, assuming it is the seal behind the cap, will it be an easy fix? Thanks in Advance.

there is no oil in the hub. its grease... and if its dripping out then you need to get into it pretty quick before (if you haven't already) you ruin the bearings. both inner and outer bearings need to be repacked.

I've driven it at the most 50 miles since it started to leak. How will i tell if the bearings are damaged??

they will start to discolor and blue. pitting is also bad.
