1994 Factory HU with an aftermarket CD changer.

I have a 1994 Q45 with a Bose Head Unit. In the trunk is a wiring harness that I assume is for the trunk mounted CD changer. Trouble is, there was no CD changer in the trunk when I bought the car.

Is there an easy way to addapt the existing harness to control an aftermarket CD changer? Or, do I have to replace the unit with the factory supplied Sony?

If there were an harness that could "convert" the factory connector to a "DIN" connector, would I still be able to control the CD changer with the HU?
