1994 d21 manual 5 on the tree to floor conversion

Hey guys!

I've currently got a manual 5 speed column shift and I was hoping to turn this into a floor shift. I've had a look around google and these forums and can't see definitive answers on this - some suggest a whole new gearbox and stuff vs the gear-stick and selector with some brackets.

It's got a plate over the gearbox as it is, so no cutting required. Any advise or definite answers mucho appreciated!

On a side note, it doesn't love going into second as it is. I've changed the oil and checked the clutch fluid - both are grand now. Just not sure what this would be a symptom of, possibly a toasted selector?

I have never in my life seen a 5 in the tree. I'd love to see pics of that.
