Hi all, I have a 94 Altima and the blower motor is not working. I;ve read in other post the it could be a resistor if it works on high.. mine does not work at all. I can feel the heat but no air. I can turn the fan speed to high and I hear a Click but the blower is not working. I;ve checked the fuses and they look good. Anyone have a suggestion?

thanks much.. Don, Colorado!

can you rap on it and get it to spin (or maybe going over big bumps jostling it?).could be the brushes worn down to the point of not making contact (or intermittent contact).

other possibility is mechanical interference (something clogging up the squirrel cage preventing rotation).

Thanks for the reply, the clicking I hear is more like a electrical click, I;ve tried to tap on the blower but nothing. Also I notice the control is not lit up when the lights are on. the fan is lit up. but it;s not spinning. I;m at a loss..

thanks for the help!!

OK folks thanks for all the help.. I rapped on the Fan and it started to spin. but not fast.. it would stop after a min or 2 running. do you think it;s the blower motor is out? also do any of you know how to get the blow motor out? took 6 screws out and still was not able to figure it out.. That;s why I;m asking the experts in this forum..

thanks

should have 3 screws in triangle pattern holding motor in.put 12v (battery voltage) DIRECTLY (don't go thru system wiring) across the motor and it should turn full speed. if not--> blower motor. if yes, then your resistor, or blower amplifier or something else like the relay or wiring is bad.

according to fsm, there are 4 screws in lid and 6 screws in box.

not sure which one you haven't found--fsm does not have picture of each screw location.
