If someone wants is and buys me beer I will check it out. Charlotte is about 3 hours from me (perfect 'vert drive). There's also someone from Winston-Salem on this forum, maybe they are closer. $5500 seems high though unless it's got a lot of mods. I paid $4200 (which I thought was high) and it was in perfect shape with only 87,000 miles on it. So who wants it?

Some people want second opinion from other people, so that's what he meant. Since he owns a vert he knows what to check and look for. I would definitely ask someone to check it out if I want to buy a car from out of state before I fly there.

Yep, that's my ride and that's exactly what I meant. When I bought mine it was sight unseen and I would have appreciated if someone had told me the top had a hole in it sealed by some kind of tar. I ended up putting a new top on it for big $$$'s that was not in the budget.

I was lucky though as the previous owner was as anal as I am and took incredible care if it. I feel like it's my responsibility to keep it that way now.

Dang!!! I had 2 small holes, so I patched them up with RTV sealant(tar like). Patches are small like less than half of penny, but yeah, still it sucks. Can't wait to replace my top.
