Post

So, as many of you know, and for those that don't, in 1994 there were 1,392 VINS for 1994. 338 "Super White" cars with Federal Emissions.

As soon as I found the right car, I fell in love with it.

Purchased June 29th, 2011, it was the 91st car off the line that year (According to sequence number)

All stock, with some not so hot looking wheels on it.

Here's the day I took it home from sitting on some guy's property for a year.

Now, to work..

First thing I did was buy a manual transmission. Yes I fit it in the trunk haha. I will be going KA-T, because I like torque. A lot of it. But I want it to be a reliable daily.

As my room piles up with racecar parts, I get closer to starting the swap.

I had some extra s13 coupe tail lights laying around, so I decided to tint them, that way I kept my original parts unmodified.

Here's my engine bay with the new intake manifold installed, strut bar, and terribly awful painted valve cover, will be redoing it as soon as it's warm again.

Then I bought some new Function and Form Type II coilovers.

LITTLE HEADS UP if you plan to drop your s13 convertible!

This is the rear strut tower, behind the rear seat. My shock dampers hit that brace.

Let's whip out the die grinder and fix that...

I noticed my front left fender wire harness was rubbing.. I noticed when I almost got stranded because stuff kept shorting out.

This one took a little while to fit correctly..

Cut a few slits here and there to properly fit the harness. Notice I left something to tie-wrap it to.

Here it is all done, ready to be put back together. I hammered an indentation into the rail, to better fit the harness. Otherwise it will make putting the fender back on a project too. While you're under there grinding stuff out, be sure to coat it in some kind of paint. I used self-etching primer and then I painted it all gloss black.

This shows the harness in its new spot, if you look to the left you can see the original location, with the cut clip. Haha

So, I definitely love my s13 convertible.. can't wait to get rid of those nasty wheels, roll the fenders, and give it a proper paint job!

Here's my friend's s13 hatch, and my other friends s14.

The s13 convertible really is a unique car, there are so many things that can be done to it to enhance the performance! It turns heads everywhere with the top down. ;)
