Can a mod please change the 94 to 95 in the title please..Thanks Hey guys, well I just got my S14 and I have a little problem. The car has ABS but I dont know if that has anything to do with it.

The problem is that if I want to brake I have to press the brake pedal all the way down. I can slightly feel the car start to brake when I am pushing the pedal down normally but if I want to stop completely I have to press it all the way down.

Example, I am slowing down and I start to brake, you can hardly notice the speed decreasing, so I have to push it all the way down to brake.

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks for reading.

Hey guys something happened today. I was at a red light today and I put the E-brake up so Id let go of the normal brake. Then it turns green so I press on the brake pedal and put down the E-brake and the pressure of the brake goes back to normal. So I dont have to press the brake pedal all the way down anymore, now it feels normal.

I was wondering if I had some air on the lines would it be possible that it somehow it went out of the lines and now is back to normal?????? Now Iam just worried the brake pressure could go just as fast/random as it came. Any thoughts?

sounds like maybe not air in the lines, but stuck caliper slides or pistons. when that happens, early on, the piston(s) or slide(s) that are stuck will stop sticking seemingly at random, but more likely when they experience a very large force (like one good mash of the pedal). i would go get some brake caliper grease and go lubricate the heck out of your slides, and check your caliper pistons while you're down there. if they're very difficult to turn (turn by the slots, don't grab the outside if it's sticking out a little!), you can either rebuild the caliper(s) for probably $5-$10 each affected or go to autozone and get freshly rebuilt ones for probably $30-$40 each.
