Is it possible to add a 1994-1996 alarm to a 1990-1993 Q45?

What would we need besides the wires, and the wireless alarm control unit that in the trunk?

Would it allow the windows to go down with the press and Holding of the unlock button, Or is that controlled by the BCM in a way?

How much of the BCM is incorporated into the alarm?

This is a serious question, I am just wondering if the 1994 Q45 anti theft computer can be worked into the 1993 Q45 wiring.

Bump

Does the 1993 have a LAN?

Then it doesn't have a LAN. Better look to after market.

Look at DEI.

Yea I'm all about the factory look, I don't like a lot of aftermarket things especially alarms, But I don't like the alarms because they after market ones just scream AFTERMARKET and not factory.

I do how ever like the amount of options you have with an after market alarm.

Once I change the spark plugs With (NGK standard OEM plugs from IOS) I will decide.

The upper end DEI if installed well, are quite unobtrusive. Just an LED or two, depending.

See if Clifford line has a new Avant system out.

Yea I did a search I think its out.

But I think you can install an aftermarket alarm without LED's right, I don't see any reason why not.

But if I was to get an alarm the perfect on would be:

Car starter/AlarmGlass break sensorSunroof opener and closer4 windows opener/closer 2 front 2 back opener.trunk openerkey less entryzone sensor: to tell if some one has there hand in the Q's window or if someone is near the car.

Amazingly half of that list up there is on the 1994 Q45.

If only I had the money and possibly time and room for a 1994 Q45 A or a T

DEI can do all of that if you get the correct one and is installed properly.

LED is only to let you know it's operational status and can be mounted any where.

If you get all this wired in I pity the next owner of your Q the first time a fuse blows.

O yea that too, that's why I hate aftermarket alarms.

I think i will just stick to stock, plus I would just get used to that sort of luxury anyway.

If only Infiniti could wire up the alarm and make it look factory, who am I kidding dealers aren't all perfect.

You must transfer over most of the wiring harness and many Control Units (CU's) from a 1994-1996 Infiniti Q45 to a 1990-1993 to make the Key-less entry work.
