1994-1996 Instrument Cluster into a 1990-1993 G50?

Would there be any problems installing a later G50 instrument panel into an earlier G50? First of all, it is even possible? Need to find a replacement, however the only one that I can find that's reasonably priced is a later G50.

I'm a BMW guy and know my 635CSi is an E24and all the different Bimmers have their own "E" designation

Is there a site with a handy "G" decoder for Nissan/Infiniti?
