Hey guys brand new to the forum, just bought a 93 vert yesterday and am in love with the car. I had a 91 hatchback before it got stolen while i was at Basic Training 3 years ago. I had the void so i needed another one.

Here is my issue. Vert motor works perfectly but when i try to latch the top down the hooks dont catch by about 3 centimeters no matter how hard a pull down. Any chances on a home fix before i take it to a body shop(dont have much time due to military schedule)?

Thanks

A couple options - You can adjust the hooks (make them longer)... as you can see, they're threaded for adjustment.

Alternatively, put the top up (as far as it'll go) and let it sit outside in the sun... you could drape black garbage bags over it to catch more heat... That should give it enough stretch to reach those last 3cm.
