this only happens when the motor is not warmed up. when i go to start it it will some times start to sputter and stall. well not so much stalls but sounds like it drops rpms and then dies. sometimes if i lay on the gas a little it helps the problem but im not flooring it because it isnt warmed up yet. if the motor is warmed up it works fine. no problem what so ever. i dont know if it means anything but it really started happening since its been getting cold. i originally was thinking fuel pump but why would it work when its warmed up. anyone feel free to prove me wrong. i would love to know. only thing a friend said was to change battery or pcv valve?

Your aux air reg is probably stuck closed. Good luck getting to it. Its inside the intake area. Black plastic on one side and metal on the other side. It has a bimetal strip in it. When the engine is cold it is not energized and is suppose to be open to let additional air in. once the car warms up it energizes it and closes it.

take it apart and clean it. Dont loose any of the small pieces inside or it wont work again.

with electronic parts cleaner ?also i hate to keep bothering you man but i was reading a faq on 240sx.org and a guy said something about upgrading the fuel filter. His wording was(Use the late model 300zx fuel filter as described in the Product Reviews, it really helped speed the revs up dramatically.) I know fuel filters are cheap anyways i was just wondering if its true. thanks again

I just use brake clean to clean them up. Think about how fuel is delivered and controlled. The fuel pump supplies the fuel to the line. The injector pulses the amount of fuel going into the chamber based on inputs from the MAF,Coolant temp sensor, and O2 sensor. The FP reg controls the pressure in the line. Ask your self how a fuel filter is going to increase flow into the cyl when the injectors pulse to keep it at a certain mixture content?

hes close and maybe reffering to the same thing. in the service manual its called auxilary air regulator. Parts system reffers to many of the parts differently then the service manual does.

I think your part might be 22660-53F00 but I am not sure if that is reffering to the IACV or the aux air reg. Its hard to say with the nissan part system. I just went in and looked it up on our system and thats what came up, but its not 100% clear which part it is.

http://www.geocities.com/Motor...a.jpg on that picture, what are you referring to cleaning. the iacv-aac,the ficd, or inside the metal object they are attached too? or do you have to take the whole assembly out to clean what you are referring too.
