Hello everyone. I'm having trouble with my s13. We did all the wiring in our shop on this one. On the cars I've had in the past, Jeff at heavythrottle sent the harnesses to Yuri for me.

Everything works fine ie: tach, speedo, gauges etc. except that the car runs better with the factory tps unplugged. With its plugged in, it idles better, but it will stumble, spit, sputter, etc when Im trying to drive it. It also becomes super rich between shifts. Now with it unplugged, it runs normal except it has about a 1 second lag between me pressing the accelerator down and the car responding to it. It also idles around 1200rpm with it unplugged. It idles at 800 with it plugged in. I have purchased two used TPSs and one new one. None of them seemed to do anything different. The new one is on the car but its unplugged.

The car is bone stock except for a apexi gt spec cat back system, down pipe, front mount intercooler, and a koyo aluminum radiator.

Has anyone else seen this? Has it happened to anyone else? Any help is much appreciated. Thanks so much in advance.

have you adjusted the tps? What are your voltages at idle and wide open? Does it increase smoothly between them? Check your voltages at the tps itself and at the ecu and compare.
