1993 Q45 Interior Light flicker.

I have a 1993 Q45 and for some reason the lights flicker when I leave the door open for more than a minute SOMETIMES.

I read in the 1994 FSM that the lights will go off after 30 seconds (the BCM puts all electronics in sleep mode and doesn't give power to any interior electrical components unless woken up by switching on the radio or turning on electricity to any electrical components in the interior.) From My understanding.

I know the 1993 Q45 BCM is different

What can be causing this?

So its just bolts and disconnect the connector or...?

Pretty much. I would unscrew and retighen each switch... I think they ground to the chassis through the mounting screw. I know that loosening the screw even a little will cause that switch to stop working. If you don't find any loose screws, you might check for rust or dirt between the switch and body.

Is it the security light?

If so mine did the same when i had my hood off.Now it just lights up and turns off in 30seconds. It could be what Q451990 said or maybe something is open. Check the door sensors,hood and trunk.

Off topic but the light that I had flashing that sensor for a window now flashes every time my bass hits hahaha........
