1993 Q45 CD Changer-How to turn on?

I just purchased a 93 Q45 with 58K on the clock. It had sat for the last few months with a dead battery. After putting in a new battery everything works except the 10 disc sony cd changer. It loads and ejects the cd magazine, but nothing lights or operates on the controller in the center console. Is there anything that needs to be reset? Or certain buttons that need to be pushed to turn it on? Thanks!

theres a reset thing on the back of the changer, and i think on the back of the controller.

I pulled the changer out in the trunk. I could not find a reset button. Can anyone advise me of how to take the controller out of the center console?
