I just located a 1993 TCU. I was about to go the JWT route but this is MUCH cheaper. I have one concern, my 92 has traction, the folks selling the 93 to me say Hollanders doesn't break down the 93 into traction or non traction or active. There is only one TCU listed for all 1993, am I gamb|ing here or are they correct? They also have an ECU I would love to pick up cheap from a 92, it is listed as being from a 92 with traction. But it is listed as being after 2-92 production date, I know my car is a pre 2-92 date. Any problem? The reason I'm buying the extra ECU is I can't deal with the 4wks downtime while it's at JWT. Any advice here will be much appreciated from the gurus.

The only problem is the 93 TCU won't match the 92 ecu perfectly and you may have shift shock or lock up shutter, or extremely higher revs before the shift.

The two models of 93 TCU are 31036-64U20 or 31036-64U75

Best would be to get a 93 ecu [appropriate sub/option model] to match the 93 tcu...........then send the 93 ecu to JWT for reprogramming!

Complicated isn't it but you gotta match them for things to work smoothly!

I'm going with your advice! They have also got a part number 3103664U12 which they identfy as a 49 state, traction 92. I think I'm just gonna pick that one up as an extra and have JWT do it rather than mess with the 93. But I'm gonna wait for either Q45 tech to come back or JWT and confirm that that number is right.
