Driving around today, no problems. Parked for 2 hours, came back remote unlock works fine, put key in ignition, depressed clutch, turn to ON and no check lights. Completely dark instrument panel.

Turned key to START, engine cranks over like normal, but engine does not start. Tried again, not even a hint of ignition occurring.

Checked all the fuses and no problems. Headlights, tail lights, brake lights, radio, door ajar chime, dome lights, indicators all work. Obviously starter motor is working, engine turns over just fine. But none of the check lights come on. Blower fan is also DNF.

Truck has 178,000 miles of basically trouble free service. Last electrical problem I had was a bad multifunction switch that caused me to lose all my dash lighting 3 years ago. Replaced the switch, got my dash lights back. Truck had new timing belt, water pump, belts and radiator hoses in July (180,000 mile service a little early as the previous water pump went bye-bye at 114,000 miles). Last year had an oxygen sensor code and replaced the sensor.

Had it towed to my mechanic (1/4 mile) but they are off until Monday. Any ideas about what it could be? I am wondering if it is one of the underhood relays- main relay perhaps? ECCS relay? Or maybe my ECU is dead?

Any ideas or help appreciated.

Never mind, I am a moron.

Somehow I accidentally hit the ignition kill switch under the dash. Since I left California for Montana I never use it (knowingly) and kind of forgot it was there. Started wondering about it last night after going to bed, and this morning grabbed the wife and drove her car over there, sure enough...

Maybe I should just remove the damn thing.
