I have a 1993 Nissan hardbody with KA24E.
It runs but very rough, seems like it isn't firing on all cylinders or firing correctly, coming to a stop it dies as if I shut off the key, starts right back. Seems to have no power, hard get past about forty mph. I'm guessing distributor but I'm really stumped. Any advice/ideas appreciated

Showing any codes??? Check compression, plugs and wires. Could be moisture under dist.cap. Loose timing chain, clogged fuel filter will also cause a lack of performance. Most of the time when the dist goes the engine stops and will not start again.

I believe if the timing chain, on the KA24E, jumps one tooth performance could be as discribed. If it jumps two teeth bent exhaust valves will most likely result.
