Hi!,

I was wondering when refilling my 1993 Nissan D21 KA24E Manual transmission with fluid do I pour it in the inner hole (#2) (see photo attached)?

There is a side plug that has a 1/2" square head. Fill that till fluid starts to pour out.

Neither of those places in your pic. Use the fill hole like Reverend D said. Also, by fluid im sure you mean Gear Oil, what kind of fluid/oil are you using?

its ok to fill from both. you;ll just have to put in the right amout which is like almost 3quarts. if not just open the filler hole on the transmission and fill from the top till fluid comes outta the hole. it's easyer from uptop

The reason I said dont fill from up top is because I've seen people pour in the gear oil so fast and once it starts dripping out the fill hole, they plug it up. Gear oil is thick and it takes time to level out and drain if you fill it from the top. If you fill it from the top just let it drain out the side hole until it stops draining. You have your truck on jacks in that pic, make sure you do it when the transmission is semi-level.
