Even if you just want it to look good there are PROPER ways of doing things. Cutting something that is engineered to work a certain way is compromising the whole spring.
Just because you don't have the money does not warrant hazardous decisions. There is a reason why there is a difference between wants and needs.
If your broke as f*** then save up longer, this kind of decision making is what led to so many s***ty hack job 240's that float around
You came here asking for facts when you have not stated your own. Sure you got lucky enough that nothing happened when you bought and drove that car.
OEM springs are not meant to be cut, they are made the way they are for a reason. If you honestly believe that it is safe to drive on cut springs you might as well only run half the lugnuts of your studs are broken, or make half a brake pad also.
