1993 maxima speaker wiring after adding after market head unit

I have recently bought a 93 gxe maxima, this is a canadian model. If that makes a difference. I recently installed a new cd player using the properwiring harness. I only got sound from the front speakers. I know the rear work. The original radio was a Clarion tapedeck with a amplifier mounted in the trunk. I dissconnected that thinking that the front would go out, but it still works. How would I go about hooking up the rear. The new HU is 50 watts x 4 channels.
