1993 J30T exhaust leak

I have an exhaust leak and seems, by sound it's coming from the back of the motor? Can anyone give thoughts PLEASE...

could be the egr valve pipe leaking...
you need to have it looked at...

I had the same problem and it was coming from the manifold.
Very expensive for manifolds. Went to exhaust shop and had
him braze the manifold.

Old thread but here is the answer, early j30s had tubular headers for exhaust manifolds, they crack and fal apart under the heatshield where the eye can not see, the only thing to do is remove the noisy one and dissect, either repair with weld or replace with 1995-97 cast iron, they are backward compatible.
