1993 J30 Window will not go up.

I have a 93 J30 and the other day when I activated the auto down window switch the window came down and then the motor kept running and making a clicking sound. Now the window will not go up, but the motor is running. Can anyone advise what might have happened and the best way to get the driver’s side door panel off?
