I've been hooked on infiniti since 96 could you have any idea what this car should sell for? It's a 1993 J30 it has 112,000 miles on the odometer with cruise bose audio auto trans sunroof anti lock brakes power windows airbags and AC. it's a 4 door regularly maintained vehicle and the owner says it has been rust-proofed.

93-97

The 93's needs thei timing belt done before a certain milage, if it isnt done it may break on you as the engine and then will be beyond economical repair if the break occurs.

So find out when its been done and if no, add that to the price, as a must-have to the purchase price in your mind.

I believe the 94's and later, had the kevlar belts, which lasted much longer so if it ever had its belt done at a dealer, it would have gotten the updated belt.

Otherwise extremely reliable cars one of the least expensive luxury cars to own ( still more $$/mo than a Civic of course)

Also be sure to check out this forum Infiniti General , wheere m,ost of our J30 guys hang their hats:http://nicoclub.com/zeroforum?id=26

Do median price check on http://www.trader.ca to see what J's are going for in your area and price accordingly. If its Krown rust-proofed, it would add a bit of value along with things such as service history and the general condition of the exterior and interior. A buddy of mine is a used car dealer and he sold a '93 J30 for $6000 (Canadian dollars) back in June. Mind you, it was in mint condition, rust-proofed everything worked, the interior was mint, the car was only summer driven, and it had around 130000 original kilometers (around 90000 miles) and it was only serviced at Infiniti and came with the up-to-date service book. Also, he sold it in June, when prices for nice cars are a little higher. In November, the used car market in the Toronto area is geared more towards SUV's and winter beaters. If I where you I would hold off untill spring when you can get the MAX price for the same car.

I was thinking of buying either that or a ES300

Both for that year range from 4k to 7k depending on what shape they are in.
