I was stopped at a redlight today, and my car just quit. I have no idea what it could be. Everything has been running just fine, and then all of a sudden today BAM! I thought maybe I run out of gas, went bougth gas, no start. I pulled a coil, and plug. Ground it out, and no fire, I am getting gas no problem, just not firing. Any suggestions? It was late when this happened so no shop open, and I don't have a CEL. Sorry I can't provide more info, but I am mostly wandering if anyone else has had this problem, and what did you do to solve it?

I am going to bring it to Infiniti of Baton Rogue tomorrow, and pay them 80 bucks to check it all out for me. Thanks!

It turns out that the Timing Belt broke. I am going to replace it with high hopes, that because I was Idling, I didn't bend any valves. This is an interferance motor, and that is a very big possibility. If so it looks like a major head reworking is in order. Hopefully I wont have to go through with all that, but if I do I will post a walkthrough with some pics.

You tried starting the car?

Say bye bye to your valves.

Ouch. How many miles since your last belt change?Mine's quite a bit overdue, but I can't afford a belt change right now. I'm crossing my fingers, hoping it'll hold out for another month until I have the money. Now I'm even more paranoid...

Hope it turns out well.
