I live in NC and am looking at buying a Q45, with 218k miles. I was told that the fuel pump needed to be replaced. Does anyone know a rough estimate of what it would cost for me to have it replaced? I'm wondering if it would make cost sense.

Thanks!

Might need the controller too. I've never used them, but it might be worth your time to call these guys for an estimate. http://www.nisstech.com/

You can DIY it, but if your uncomforable, the part is like $150 or so, and maybe 2 hours TOPS labor.

Well, at that mileage, it probably would be wise to remove the fuel tank if it has any sediment or corrosion. Rubber in fuel lines is probably shot and needs to be repalced. Blow out fuel lines anyway and replace fuel filter.

Unless it has the service records to verify immaculate maintenance, I would pass on the car.
