1993 engine in 97 pickup

I transferred a 1993 pickup engine into my 1997 pickup but the distributor has a 2 wire plug and the truck has a 6 or 8 wire harness (I can't remember). My 1997 distributor won't bolt up to the 93 motor. Anyone know of a distributor that will work or a fix for this?

Welcome to the site. Not to many options. The best option and not what you want to hear would be replace the engine with the correct engine. Changing the wiring is possible but the average life is only so many years. The only thing possible and it's a long shot MAY OR NOT WORK ??? Remove the roll pin in the distributor gear (1993) The gear MIGHT fit on the 1997 shaft. Not sure if the base will even fit in the block.
