Hi!

I have problems starting my 1993 altima. It has a KA24DE I4 DOHC engine with manual transmission. It just died a day i was out driving and now iam only able to start it up sometimes, but it runs really bad for a couples of seconds and after a while it just dies. Nothing happens when i hit the gas pedal. I have checked the fuel pressure with a fuel pressure gauge and its good. I have also checked the spark plugs, no fouling and every plug sparks. The battery is also just charged.

Any ideas or tips about what it could be? not interested in spending hundreds of dollars in repairs

look for oil tracking inside distributor (under the moisture cover which is under the rotor).very very common on the u13.

you're ahead of most in that you took the time to measure fuel pressure.you'll do fine here.

to be clear, we are talking way down in the bowels, right? just looking at the underside of the cap won't do it.

next i would check your maf. wiggle the connector and see what happens.

did you already check for codes?

if you got none, i'd next ohm the injectors.

check compression.

if you can keep it running, do the carb cleaner (quick start ether even better) around the underside of #3 and #4 lower intake runner right by cyl head. also common on early U13 is bad intake gasket.
