So my friend has a 1993 Altima with a 2.5 and automatic. It has over 150k miles and just had a recent tune up less than 2k miles ago. Just recently it has started stalling on her at low RPMs like when she pulls up to stop signs, it also will stall on her when she takes low speed turns. It doesnt throw any CEL and at higher RPMs it never stalls and runs fine. After it stalls out she has to sit for anywhere from a couple of mins to a half hour and then it will restart and run fine for a while. I am hopefully going to get a chance to take a look at it this weekend but would like some ideas on where to start. The fact that it is not throwing any codes really has me baffled!

I am leaning towards thinking it must be some sort of vacume leak but that is just a wild guess right now.

Any help would be appreciated as I have never messed with this car at all! Thanks,

Matthew

i had similar problems and ended up being the distributor. i was able to start the car back up by cooling it off with electronic parts cleaner.
